I have a personal project where I have been scanning my slides and negatives into jpegs. I am using a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual II Film AF-2820 scanner. My goals are 1) scan all my negatives and slides so I have a digital record of my photos, 2) scan at a good resolution and good quality. I am succeeding at goal number 1, I have scanned close to 4000 negatives and slides so far spanning from the late 70s to 2003 (which is when I switched to only digital, because of my film SLR finally refusing to take any more shots).

I will be posting some of these photos on the site in the photo gallery, but one series in particular I am starting a new page for, that is my year on Iwo Jima.

The photos that I took on Iwo Jima seem to capture a sense of history that many people still are interested in. I look back at it as and experience that I would never want to forget. So please click here to go to my Iwo Jima page(s).
